Making A Murderer live on stage in Belgium!
On the 19th of March at Arenberg Antwerp
Straight out of Netflix’s Emmy-nominated documentary series Making a Murderer, attorneys Dean Strang and Jerry Buting are visiting the Arenberg theatre in Antwerp to shed some light on their side of the jaw dropping juridical case concerning the disadvantaged junkyard family Avery. The crime documentary took the world by storm a few months ago and even resonated in Belgium.
Making a Murderer‘s first season told the story of Stephen Avery, who after spending 18 years in prison for a rape crime he didn’t commit, was able to prove his innocence thanks to modern DNA technology. However, after only 2 years of freedom and very close to a multimillion settlement he was about to receive from the local Manitowoc County, Steve was arrested again. This time for a brutal murder of a local photographer named Teresa Halbach. Enter Strand and Buting, his competent defence lawyers who tried to move heaven and earth to – yet again – prove the man’s innocence.
With the second season of the hit series finally confirmed and worldwide Internet forums still very much intrigued by it, the case and this interesting evening have barely lost its relevance. Be prepared for some in-crowd opinions regarding one of the most mysterious and controversial murder cases in modern history. The two attorneys will also take the time to answer some questions from the audience.
Ticketsales will start on Monday the 31st of October at 11h00.
Even though Live Comedy is organising this show, this is not a comedy show.
